How to Put More
'Body' in Nursery Stock
Container Plants
When setting seedlings or transplants
in containers dip the roots in a 5% solution (5 oz/100oz water). Young
plants will root quicker and fill their containers faster with this
treatment. Apply Vitazyme with a sprayer or through irrigation 30-45
days after planting.
Water container plants with a 1%
solution of Vitazyme every time they are shifted to a new container.
Field Grown Trees
and Shrubs
Dip the roots of trees and shrubs
before setting in the field with a 5% solution of Vitazyme. Apply
Vitazyme with a sprayer or through irrigation every 30-45 days.
What to Expect
Unlike excess nitrogen fertilization,
Vitazyme will not produce sucker growth, so late season applications
can be applied during the time of greatest caliper growth on shade and
ornamental trees. Vitazyme will produce more fibrous roots than
fertilizer alone, which means less mortality for B&B stock, and
will produce shorter internodes and encourage more lateral buds. The
plant will therefore have more branches and leaves, which will result
in a plant with more 'body'.
Evergreens will have more 'body'
because more of the energy of the plant goes into lateral branch
development and less into apical bud development, which means a better
plant with less trimming.
Regular Vitazyme use will
significantly shorten cropping cycles with both container and field
grown nursery stock. Lateral branching in trees and shrubs will
increase, leaves will be darker in color, and more flower buds will
develop.
The rate for all applications is
13oz/acre ( 1 liter/hectare). Remember, you can mix Vitazyme with all
your other chemicals and fertilizers to eliminate application costs.
